The System Security Lab is part of the Department of Cybersecurity of University of West Florida.
Mission
The mission our lab is to to discover and identify new vulnerabilities, threats and cyber-attacks against existing and future computing facilities. We develop new security techniques to mitigate the security problems in computer systems and networks. Our ongoing projects include the development of new architectures to enable privacy protection in cloud computing. We are also working on security problems related to virtual machine placement in clouds.

Research Opportunties for Undergraduate Students
We have been regularly supporting undergraduate students through NSF REU grant. To receive NSF REU support, U.S. citizenship is required.
